Lekha Tantry
MATHEMATICS
Lekha Tantry graduated in spring 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Through the TT program, Lekha has been able to take insightful classes that have challenged the traditional views of pedagogy and educational practices. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through their MCERT program. In addition to her coursework, she will be participating in the paid internship program, teaching three Algebra II classes virtually at Paint Branch High School during the academic year. Lekha will be a part of a Professional Learning Committee (PLC) in the math department with another UM alumna, Emily Murdock, and Kayla White, a SMT in mathematics.
