Emily was born and raised in Maryland and grew up in Carroll County, Maryland. She attended UMD from 2014 to 2019, where she earned a B.S. in Mathematics, a B.A. in Flute Performance, and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Secondary Mathematics, through the Master’s & Certification (MCERT) program. She is in her second year teaching at Paint Branch High school in Montgomery County.
