TLPL 101: Inquiry Approach to Teaching STEM (Step 1)
Explore STEM teaching and learning and classroom complexity, and develop teaching skills through discussion-based, collaborative class sessions, and experiences in local schools. To explore/understand the fundamentals of inquiry teaching, students will observe, plan and teach student-centered lessons.
Students must allow for a three-hour window between 7:45 AM and 3:15 PM in their schedule for field experiences in a local school 3-4 times during the semester. A background check is required and will be facilitated by the Terrapin Teacher program coordinator.
